The disaster at Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy hydroelectric plant dam was so badly damageable in Lao PDR.
One cause of the damage comes from heavy rain making serious overflowing flooding incident over the dam. The heavy rain also spreads to the northern part of Thailand and caused serious landslide causing many deaths in Nan. Moreover, the water levels in the Mekong River has risen from dry condition to unprecedented overflow levels having never happened before. Such the incident could cause the floods in Nakhon Phanom and may spread to Chiang Rai, Nong Khai, and Amnat Charoen. Additionally, Myanmar and Vietnam are also facing the disaster of rain and heavy floods as well. For only one month having gone by while these Asian areas have been experiencing such terrifying natural changes. Not only for Asian but also such kind of natural disaster has hit Japan over and over. The heavy flood and mudslide happened in the Southern part of Japan harder than that of historical incidents. Moreover, serious heat wave happened in Tokyo and caused the high surrounding temperature of 41 degree Celsius and only two incidents could kill more than 300 people in just two months. China and Korea are also suffering from serious heat waves and cause 30 deaths. Not only in Asia but also in Europe and the United States, these regions are seriously damaged by natural disasters. The waves of heat, forest fire, and flood are attacking these regions; the scenes of disasters attacking the regions were looking more like that of the destructive disaster scenes in the Hollywood’s movies. Formerly, we have never believed that the world will be destroyed by the natural disasters, but today, with more and more serious evidences, both from the specific statistics of the year 2017, severe climate changes have been happening more than 400 times around the world and could make many people lose their lives, and it is likely to intensify every year. It would be admittible that we are afraid and worried about how we can live our lives longer under such terrible conditions. Scientists from over the world believe that natural disasters are caused by global warming coming from Greenhouse Effect having been made from unusual human behavior. Misbehaviors of deforestation, industrial development without taking care of carbon dioxide over-emission, serious air pollution caused by traffic jams and black smoke from cars’ engines, polluted smoke from industries and trash burning have been threatening the world day after day. Today, there are more than 7,000 million people in the world. If no one has never been taking care of the world, never care about global warming, it must be wrong to have such action for the fact that today no one in the world is safe from such promising natural disasters If we still misuse the resources with limitlessness. Misbehaviors of disposing of the waste without responsibility, paying of no attention to the pollution problem or having the idea that only oneself alone will never destroy the nature must be suddenly solved. Renewing selves for the ideas of nature care must be done. The studies have shown that the seawater levels over many seas are going to higher than ever. Possibly, many major cities around the world could have sunk under the sea in this century; the major city of Thailand, Bangkok, could be the one as well for the fact that today the higher seawater level has been intruding inwards more and more every year. Take a look at the Bang Khun Thian district to see the power poles have already appeared in the sea. Or maybe the problem could attack faster if the seawater could possibly intrude inwards the regions of Sathorn, Silom, and Sukhumvit; it may be nearly possible someday. It’s about time we are to be highly responsible for this single Globe. If not, we must face the destiny of disasters when the nature of the anger wants it back; back to the nature. We may be unable to stand it.
