KMITL’s instructors continued raising the standard of lives and environment and fishery resource for fishermen in the Andaman Sea through the project of the Smart Fisherman 4.0.

It is to raise the local traditional lifestyle of fisherman 1.0 to become that of 4.0.  Assistant Professor Dr. Ananya Charoenpornnipat, KMITL, in conjunction with Department of Fisheries-Phuket, has presented the ways to conservatively improve the lifestyle of the local traditional shore fishery community of Ban Klong Pakbang, Patong Beach, Phuket. It is to make the local traditional fishery community of Patong have responsibility and understand how to use legal fishery tools, shore resource management, lower fishery investment and useful fishery innovation to add the value of fishery products to make better benefits for living the better life of the local fishermen. Traditionally, it was found that the local classical lifestyle of the villagers should be locally conserved to make the local lifestyle sustainable to the nation and to the international tourism of Patong Beach of Phuket. The project of improvement would be done through the developed mobile applications called SmartFisherman and Sapanpla  able to be special channels to proper fishery and trading of the fishery product directly.
